(2) The city of refuge that was built on the land of Canaan (Josh. 20:7-8)

- West side of the Jordan: Kedesh, Shechem, Hebron

- East side of the Jordan: Bezer, Ramoth, Golan

> Wherever you are, you can reach the next place within a day

> There is a guide to the city of refuge

- Kedesh (Holy and chosen place) - Christ who became a church (Josh. 12:22, John 2:19)

- Shechem (Shoulder) - Christ who carried and managed government (Isa. 9:6)

- Hebron (Alliance) - Christ who was an intercessor (2 Cor. 5:18-19)

- Bezer (Fortress) - Christ who became a refuge (Psalm 91:2)

- Ramoth (Upper land) - Christ who was noble (1 King 4:13)

- Golan (Joyfulness) - Christ who was the joy of the congregation (Rom. 5:4)

(3) The person who cannot enter into the City of Refuge (Num. 35:16-21)

- If a man strikes someone with an iron object and he dies (16)

- If a man strikes someone  with a stone and he dies (17)

- If a man with malice aforethought shove another or throws something at him intentionally so that he dies (20)

- If in hostility he hits him with his fist so that he dies (21)

(4) The steps that you enter into he city of refuge (Josh. 20:4-6)

1. Stand in the entrance of the city gate and state his case before the elders of that city

2. The elders admit him into their city and give him a place to live with them

3. The avenger of blood can suit and ask for the trial

4. He is to stay in that city until he has stood trial before the assembly and until the death of the high priest who is serving at that time

5. He may go back to his own home in the town from which he fled

2. God who opened the way of salvation to a man

(1) Gave the way of salvation to Adam and Eve (Gen. 3:15) - Child of women

(2) Gave the way of salvation to men who completely failed (Gen. 6:14) - Ark

(3) Gave the way of salvation to Israelites who were slaves (Exo. 3:18) - sacrifice offering (blood)
