Who Shall Fight First?

Judges 1:1-10

1. After conquering the land of Canaan - After salvation

1) The power of idols that rooted in the Canaan

       - Gen 6:2 - The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any

         of them they chose.

   2) As a result, they lived a life away from God.

       - That is the way of sin, the foolish life, and the way of failure

   3) We must teach that a man is a spiritual creature and the life of success and failure depends on his spiritual state.

      (1) Power of the gospel = We must prophesize and save myself and field (Family, school, work place, and church)

            - Personalization of the Gospel

            - Discipleship of Evangelism  

            - The church

            - The world

2. How can we conquer our field? - Blessing of Oneness

 1) The truth of field conquest

       (1) Verse 1: "Who will be the first to go up and fight for us against the Canaanites?"

       (2) Verse 2: "Judah is to go."

             - Blessing of Gen.. 49:8-12: "Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies... You are a lion's cub, like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness-who dares to rouse him?"

            - Blessing of Josh. 19:10

      (3) Verse 3: Then the men of Judah said to the Simeonites their brothers, "Come up with us into the territory allotted to us, to fight against the Canaanites. We in turn will go with you into yours." So the Simeonites went with them.

      (4) Verse 4: They struck down ten thousand men at Bezek.

      (5) Verse 5-6: They chased Adoni-Bezek and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes.

      (6) Verse 8: They put the city to the sword and set it on fire.

      (7) Verse 10: Conquered Hebron as well.

           - Josh. 14: The land that Caleb conquered.

   2) The strategy of conquering the field - Prophesy Saving Community (Oneness)

       (1) Community that speaks to prophesize: Word is the power of God

       (2) Community that prays to prophesize: Blessing of intercessory prayer (24 hours)

       (3) Community that evangelizes to prophesize: For you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. (1Peter 1:9)

Conclusion
