1. 맥추절의 의미

Meaning of Feast of Harvest

1) 구약의 3대 절기 중 하나

One of the 3 Feasts in the Old Testament

- 무교절 (유월절: 출애굽, 구원의 축복 회상)

The Feast of Unleavened Bread (Passover: Remembrance of the Exodus, salvation)

- 맥추절 (유월절 후(49년 후) 칠칠절, 오순절)

The Feast of Harvest (After the Passover (After 49 yrs) The Feast of Weeks, Pentecost)

- 수장절 (농사 후 창고에 저장)

The Feast of Ingathering (Store the leftover fruits after farming)

(1) 맥추절: 40일 광야생활. 하나님이 주신 만나와 매추라기 먹고 농사해서 수확열매로 감격, 감사

The Feast of Harvest: 40 days in the wilderness. Ate manna and quails given from God, farmed fruits and gave thanks to God

(2) 칠칠절: 유월절 (구원의 감격) 후 7x7후에 지킴

The Feast of Weeks: After the Passover (salvation) keeping weeks

(3) 오순절: 유월절 후 50 만에 지킴

Pentecost: Keeping it after the Passover

2) 맥추절의 의미

Meaning of Feast of Harvest

(1) 신앙생활의 성장

Growth of the walk of faith

(2) 맥추절도 자급자족을 의미

The Feast of Harvest means self-sufficiency

- 창1:28를 이루고, 창3:17-19 성취

Fulfilling Gen. 1:28 and Gen.3:17-19

- 창 3:18 – 땅이 네게 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴를 낼 것이라 너의 먹을 것은 밭의 채소인즉

Gen 3:18 – It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.

(3) 맥추절은 하나님이 축복하시기 위한 수단이다

The Feast of Harvest is the way for God to bless us

- 잠8:17-18 – 나를 사랑하는 자들이 나의 사랑을 입으며 나를 간절히 찾는 자가 나를 만날 것이니라

부귀가 내게 있고 장구한 재물과 의도 그러하니라

Prov. 8:17-18 – I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me. With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.

- 삼상2:30 – 나를 존중히 여기는 자를 내가 존중히 여기고 나를 멸시하는 자를 내가 경멸히 여기리라

1 Sam 2:30 – Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.

 

2. 어떻게 지켜야 하나?

How must we keep it?

1) 감사함으로 지킴 (마음, 뜻)

Keep it with thanksgiving (Heart and will)

(1) 과거의 (발판) 감사

Thanksgiving of past (Platform)

(2) 신앙적 (영적) 감사 – 오늘의 감사

Thanksgiving of faith (Spiritual) – Thanks giving of today

(3) 미래적 감사

Thanksgiving of future

2) 물질로 감사 (신16:16-17)

Thanksgiving with materials (Deut. 16:16-17)

- 16절: 너희 중 모든 남자는 일 년 삼 차 곧 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막적에 네 하나님 여호와의 택하신 곳에서 여호와께 보이되 공수로 여호와께 보이지 말고

Verse 16: Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the LROD empty-handed.

- 17절: 각 사람이 네 하나님 여호와의 주신 복을 따라 그 힘대로 물건을 드릴찌니라

Verse 17: Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you.

3) 하나님 전에 드림 (신 16:19)

Give it to God (Deut. 16:19)

- 너는 굽게 판단하지 말며 사람을 외모로 보지 말며 또 뇌물을 받지 말라 뇌물은 지혜자의 눈을 어둡게 하고 의인의 말을 굽게 하느니라

Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

 

결론 Conclusion

- 맥추절 지키는 자의 축복

The blessing of the one who keeps the Feast of Harvest

(1) 출23:22 – 네가 그 목소리를 잘 청종하고 나의 모든 말대로 행하면 내가 네 원수에게 원수가 되고 네 대적에게 대적이 될찌라 (개인)

Exo. 23:22 – If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you. (Personal)

(2) 출 23:25 – 너의 하나님 여호와를 섬기라 그리하면 여호와가 너희의 양식과 물에 복을 내리고 너희 중에 병을 제하리니 (가정)

Exo. 23:25 – Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you. (Family)

(3) 출 23:26 – 네 나라에 낙태하는 자가 없고 잉태치 못하는 자가 없을 것이라 내가 너의 날수를 채우리라 (나라)

Exo. 23:26 – and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span. (Nation)
