Offering with a Vow (Leviticus 27:1-8)

Introduction

The people of God who received salvation must have the ‘mystery of prayer.’ When you have the power of prayer, and power that enjoys Gospel in your daily life, you can interpret everything correctly. Jesus Christ died on the cross to get rid of our curses and bound forces of the Satan, and from that we received the blessings of being child of God. Therefore, we must discover how to pray as the people of God.

When you enjoy the mystery of the Gospel when you are alone, it is a ‘scheduled prayer’. While you are gaining this power, the time you receive answers the most is during the worship. Although you are in the world and face hardships, but not recognizing them is called ‘continuous prayer’. Whether you have problems or received answers, opening the spiritual eyes is called ‘24hrs prayer,’ and finally experiencing God’s power in front of crisis is called ‘concentrated prayer’, ‘all-night prayer’, or ‘fasting prayer’. As a child of God who received salvation, Remnants must have this mystery of prayer. This is the weapon that will win over everything.

Psalm 23:1 – The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.

-         The main point of Leviticus is to know the power of the Gospel and success in worship.

-         Israelites who conquered the world were good in 3things: Served God, Specialty, and Finance.

The 7kinds of offerings in Leviticus 27

(1) Verse 1-8: The offering that Israelites vowed

(2) Verse 9-13: The vow that giving animals

(3) Verse 14-15: Offering of house

(4) Verse 16-25: Offering of farm field

(5) Verse  26-27: The first born of livestock

(6) Verse 28-29: Don't use humanism on the things that you gave to God

(7) Verse 30-31: Tithe belongs to God

1. For those who experienced God’s grace in the past, offering is the most important devotion for them.

(1)   Israelites experienced the 10 miracles when they escaped from the Egypt.

(2)   When Israelites believed in God’s power, they crossed the Red Sea.

(3)   God gave grace to Israelites through 3Feasts (Passover, Pentecost, and Ingathering).

(4)   When Israelites had nothing to eat, God gave them Manna and quails.   

- Understand offering correctly; to spread these facts, we rightfully devote and give offerings to God.

2. Vital things of the ones who saw the future

(1) Israelites will across the Jordan.

(2) Israelites will need the power to break down the Jericho.

(3) Israelites must stop the sun and moon and stop the army of Amorites.

(4) Israelites must win the 7tribes of Canaan.

- Devoting for these is the offering.

3. Those who enjoy 3things in their daily lives.

- The standard of blessings that congregation will receive – be full for the world evangelization

Conclusion

For the future generation,

1. Gain strength and give faith-centered offerings to the Lord.

2. Remnants, you must grab hold of the evidence that God is with you and the mystery of power given from God.
