Ruth 2:1-13

- The blessing of meeting in the Bible

(1) The meeting of Joseph (when he was a slave) and Potiphar

(2) Moses met Joshua and Joshua met Moses and Caleb

(3) The meeting of Samuel and David, and the meeting of David and Jonathan

(4) The meeting of Elijah and Elisha

(5) The meeting of Paul and Banaba, the meeting of Paul and Timothy

1. The meeting that came after the Ruth’s faithful resolution

- Ruth decided to cling to Naomi until the end (Ruth 1:16-17)

(1) From Moab to Bethlehem (Ruth 2:2)

- Bethlehem: House of Bread, the place where Jesus will born, Church

(2) Man of standing – The meeting with Boaz (Ruth 2:1)

(3) Field – She gleaned in the fields behind the harvesters (Ruth 2:3) – Solution of today

- When we always think about the evangelism and mission and live the Life of the Evangelist, we will have a blessing of meeting (meeting a true evangelist and church workers)

2. Ruth’s blessing of meeting inside of faithful sincereness

(1) Ruth 2:4 – ‘Just then’ Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters and met a woman and heard about the woman from a foreman

(2) Ruth could have just lived in her land Moab, but she followed her mother-in law to Bethlehem and gleaned in the fields and took care of her mother-in law

(3) The meeting that was no accident, it was inevitable (Ruth 2:5-7)

- Ruth 2:6-7

3. Those who were blessed by God – The meeting with the one who helps her (Ruth 2:8-13)

- When you have a resolution of faith and live your life sincerely, one day you will meet a person who really helps you (Blessing of meeting)

(1) Special grace (Ruth 2:8-9)

(2) Boaz knew Ruth’s past (Ruth 2:11)

(3) The blessing of future (Ruth 2:12)

Conclusion

- Do not be discouraged by not having answers. God wants to give us answers.

(1) We must have the blessing of renovation

- Renovation: Discovering the oneself

(2) Experience the power of the Gospel

(3) Life is the evangelism and mission, and we must shine the light to save souls
