1. 욥의 인생 상태
Job’s state of life
(1) 과거 Past
1) 많은 사람들에게 존경을 받음 (욥 Job 1:1,3)
Respected by many people
-욥Job 1:1
…그사람은 온전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난자더라
…This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
-욥 Job 1:3
…이사람은 동방 사람 중에 가장 훌륭한 자라
...He was the greatest man among all the people of the East
2) 하나님께도 인정 받음 (욥 Job 1:8)
Acknowledged by God as well
-욥 Job 1:8
여호와께서 사단에게 이르시되 네가 내 종 욥을 주의하여 보았느냐 그와같이 온전하고 정직하여 하나님을 경외하며 악에서 떠난자는 세상에 없느니라
Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
(2) 현재 Present
1) 전재산, 자녀들을 다 잃음
Lost all of his possession, his children
2) 여러가지 병으로 고통당함 (욥기 Job 7:5)
Suffers from many diseases
(3) 복음을 모르는 친구들의 말
Words of his friends who do not know the gospel
-욥기 Job 4:7
생각하여 보라 죄 없이 망한 자가 누구인가 정직한 자의 끊어짐이 어디있는가
“Consider now: Who, being innocent, has ever perished? Where were the upright ever destroyed?”
-욥기 Job 8:4
네 자녀들이 주께 죄를 지었으므로 주께서 그들을 그 죄에 버려두셨나니
When your children sinned against him, he gave them over to the penalty of their sin.
2. 욥의 실상 Job’s true state -미래를 소망함Hope for future
(1) 인간의 불의 (욥기 Job 9:2-3)
Mankind’s injustice

“너희는 너희 아비 마귀에게서 났으니..”
“You belong to your father, the devil..”
(2) 하나님의 위대하심 찬양 (욥기 Job 9:4-10)
Praised the greatness of God
(3) 하나님의 절대성 (욥기 Job 9:11-12)

-요한복음 John 16:33
“…세상에서는 너희가 환난을 당하나 담대하라 내가 세상을 이기었노라”
“...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
